The Italian company Ferrari introduced an even faster version of the hypercar FXX K, which was named FXX K Evoluzione. This car is intended only for use on racing tracks and is a deeply modernized version of the road model LaFerrari, on the basis of which its predecessor was built. At the heart of the car is a hybrid power plant, consisting of a 6.3-liter atmospheric engine V12 and an electric motor. The total capacity is 1050 liters. from. and 900 Nm, the speed characteristics are not specified, but they should be better than the performance of the Ferrari FXX K - 2.5 seconds to 100 km / h and a top speed of 350 km / h. Improvements in the performance of the car were achieved due to a new aerodynamic body kit, retuned suspension and other wheels. The price of the novelty is not specified, but it will exceed $ 3 million, for which the FXX K modification is sold.
Ferrari FXX K Evoluzione would focus its development in shedding weight, with improvements to aerodynamics and electronic stability control helping to further reduce laptimes. The FXX K in its current state is already 5sec a lap faster than the road LaFerrari around Fiorano, so anything faster would push it into the realms of Ferrari’s single seaters…
The previous generation car, the Enzo-based FXX, received improvements in Evoluzione spec, so these rumours for an FXX K version seem quite plausible. We couldn’t expect to see an FXX K Evoluzione for many years, however, but given that Ferrari’s halo cars arrive little more than once a decade, there’s more than enough time to develop it.
