When it comes to buying a car, consumers continue to say that bigger is better. SUVs and trucks continued to outsell smaller sedans in September. But not all SUVs are created equal. Here the round up all the ones on the market with the most advanced features.

1. Volvo XC90

The Volvo XC90 is a roomy and luxurious SUV, but it also has several high-tech features. For example, there are four hidden cameras to provide 360-degree views when driving and parking.

2. Audi Q7

Audi gave its 2017 Q7 SUV a major tech upgrade. It has a driver-assistant system that can sense emergency situations and prepare accordingly by braking and closing the windows and sunroof to secure the car. Drivers can also opt to upgrade to the more advanced driving-assistant system that includes backup assist to prevent collisions while reversing and advanced cruise control to keep the car in its lane and keep up with traffic on highways.

3. Tesla Model X

The Tesla Model X has a sleek exterior with its sweeping, falcon-wing doors. The best part of the Model X is arguably that it is a luxury car with Tesla's Autopilot feature, which lets the car steer, brake, and even change lanes for you while driving on the highway. A front-facing camera mounted at the top of the windshield helps identify pedestrians and read speed-limit signs.

4. Range Rover SVAutobiography

Range Rover's SVAutobiography is an extremely luxurious SUV with a surround camera system. You can also open the trunk just by waving your hand. There aren't three rows of seats, but the second row has a massage function and can recline for extra comfort. There's also a folding table that comes out of the center console and a small refrigerating area for keeping drinks cool.

5. Bentley Bentayga

The Bentley Bentayga is so luxurious that there's a version that comes with its own fine china set. It also has eight driver modes, including cruise control and an off-road driving setting. The car comes with numerous driver aids, like a warning system that will detect obstacles in the rear when you're pulling out of a parking space.

6. Mitsubishi Outlander

The 2017 Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV is able to detect pedestrians and blind spots to aid in preventing accidents. It also can detect oncoming vehicles from behind for when you're reversing. The car comes with three drive modes: electric, hybrid, and parallel hybrid (powered by the motor but assisted by the electric motor). The car is capable of selecting the best drive mode based on the road conditions.

7. Lincoln MKX

The 2017 Lincoln MKX comes with several semiautonomous features, including park assist, which can locate open parking spots and help you reverse into them. There's also lane-keep assist designed to prevent drift. There are also four cameras on the car designed to allow you to see your entire surroundings. You can use a corresponding app to start, lock, unlock, and locate your vehicle remotely.

8. Audi Q5

If you're looking for a good crossover SUV, Audi gave its 2018 Q5 a significant upgrade. The car has 30 ambient-light options and fits five inside. The traditional instrument cluster has been replaced by a 12.3-inch digital screen that allows the driver to pull up a heads-up display on the windshield. There's also an 8.3-inch touchscreen on the console with voice control that can recognize gestures and hand-written entries.

9. Maserati Levante

Maserati's Levante is the brand's very first SUV. It features a suite of semiautonomous features, including adaptive cruise control, rear cross-path detection, lane-departure warning, and forward-collision warning. It comes with an 8.4-inch screen that you can control with a central knob. It supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The SUV starts at $72,600, and there's also a 424-horsepower option that can get to 60 mph in five seconds.

10. Chevrolet Bolt

The Chevy Bolt is a good choice if you're in the market for an electric crossover SUV. The Bolt starts at $36,620 and can drive 240 miles on a single charge. For the price, you're not getting the same number of high-tech features as you would in a Volvo XC90. But it comes with some perks like a digital instrument cluster, lane-keep assist, and a center console that can wirelessly charge your phone.

The M3 owner enthuses over the Audi, as one might for a flame-red, fetchingly tiny sedan that happens to scorch from 0 to 60 miles per hour in 3.9 seconds and top out at 174 mph (with the optional Dynamic Plus Package). He asks how I got my hands on one, so I tell him I’m testing it as an auto journalist. With that, the guy is clearly expecting my own thumbs-up for this evidently hot Audi. Yet my figurative thumb goes a bit sideways, like Joaquin Phoenix's Roman emperor mulling the fate of a fallen gladiator. 

If only. I pull out the car’s Monroney—the federally-mandated window sticker for which we can thank former Oklahoma senator Almer Stillwell Monroney—and direct Mr. Bimmer’s attention to the Audi’s bottom line. Behold, what must be the world’s most expensive small sedan: The 2018 RS3 starts at a base of $55,875, a price has been ratcheted all the way to $66,775 for my well-optioned test model.

While the Audi is a touch faster in a straight line, it’s not as euphoric or engaging as BMW’s compact coupe. Two big reasons: First, the BMW drives its rear wheels, and only its rear wheels. Secondly, M2 buyers can (and do) choose a manual transmission, where the Audi offers only its (admittedly brilliant) seven-speed dual-clutch S Tronic automatic gearbox.

The RS3 is certainly no ordinary A3 sedan, beginning with the styling-booth transformation from Clark Kent to Man of Steel—or maybe aluminum, as aluminum-matte trim gleams from stem to stern. A burly front fascia and a beautiful rear diffuser and oval exhaust outlets (with optional black tips) highlight Audi’s artistic eye for details.

I have made an article before about 2018 Audi Q5 2.0 The First Look, and this article is the other variant of Audi. Please continue reading and have a look of the pictures of Audi Q7 2.0T Quattro.

The Orca Black Metallic 2017 Audi Q7 arrived before I got a chance to check out the paperwork on it. All I knew was that headquarters only wanted a story on it if it had the base 2.0-liter engine because we'd yet to weigh in on that variant. I did a quick once-over of the exterior but discovered no giveaway badging. Just the ubiquitous "Quattro" moniker. So I jumped in and drove off.

My very first impression upon listening to the engine pull gently away from a stop was "hey, I thought Audi was out of the diesel biz!" A glance at the tach's 6,750-rpm redline confirmed that this was no oil-burner and called into question some of the choices made by the intake/exhaust sound-tuning team. When I finally rolled clear of the neighborhoods and out onto Detroit's iconic Woodward Avenue, I called for full power. The gentle shove against my backside suggested I'd better sharpen my pencil and prepare to write about what could only be 252 hp towing around 4,800 pounds of gorgeous leather, wood, and creature comforts.

There's no denying the beauty and richness of this interior, most of which comes standard with the $49,950 base Q7 (those walnut inlay panels added $350). Patient, frugal aesthetes can therefore certainly be commended for saving the $6,500 premium demanded for sub-6-second acceleration with the supercharged 3.0-liter V-6 engine option. But it must be noted that said aesthetes earn no green credits for choosing the little engine because the highly stressed four-banger only ekes out one extra city and combined mpg—20/25/22 versus the 3.0's 19/25/21 mpg. You'll want to invest that $6,500 savings in tree planting at www.arborday.org if CO2-reduction is your jam.

You might be surprised to learn that the midsize Q5 crossover is Audi's best-selling vehicle—about five times better last year than the A5 from which it sprang, and easily outselling the A4, as well. Based on the same laudable MLB chassis that mounts the engine north/south (unique in this largely FWD-based segment that typically uses east/west), the 2018 Q5 comes standard with all-wheel drive and a turbocharged four-cylinder engine. It also grows in just about every dimension. Not seeing a major redesign since it was introduced in 2009, the more sharply sculpted Q5 also gains a much-needed interior makeover to catch it up to the rest of the current-era Audi electronics and aesthetics.

The revised 2.0-liter Audi TFSI engine gains 32 horsepower, 15 lb-ft of torque, and a new seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission replaces an eight-speed automatic. The impressive results are improved fuel economy (gaining 3 mpg in both the EPA's city and combined cycles over its processor) and better acceleration. Our testing produced a snappy 5.9-second 0-60-mph time, which is a second better than the 2017 model and puts it within a half second of the much-ballyhooed Alfa Romeo Stelvio. It's quick, but the Q5 is also smooth. The shifts from the new transmission, dubbed S Tronic, are rapid and nearly imperceptible—and it doesn't have that lurch from a stop or low-speed shift-shudder that some other similar, automated manuals do. Even the engine's fuel-saving automatic stop/start is swift and unobtrusive.
