Luxury Pickup Trucks $100,000 The Kings Of The Road Will Be

Luxury Pickup Trucks

Ford recently pulled the wraps off its 2018 line of Super Duty pickup trucks in Texas, the only state in the union where a standard-duty F-150 is considered a compact model. Getting all the media buzz was the top F-450 Limited model and its sticker price, which starts at $87,100 and with all the boxes checked on the options list tops out at $94,455 – mere spitting distance from the heralded $100K mark.

That’s about what a base-model Mercedes-Benz S-class sedan costs, but no mere luxury car packs a turbocharged 6.7-liter Power Stroke turbo-diesel V8 engine with 925 pound-feet of stump-pulling torque and is capable of towing in excess of 30,000 pounds. Not to mention the custom Camelback two-tone leather seats; the premium stitched leather-wrapped steering wheel, armrests and instrument panel; a Miko suede headliner; the hand-finished dark ash wood trim; and a long list of creature comforts.

The sky is apparently the limit with regard to pricing for full-size pickup trucks, already the most profitable models in their respective lineups. Chevrolet recently announced it would be folding its medium-duty class 4 and 5 trucks under the Silverado brand and will no doubt be taking them further upmarket moving forward. It will be a race to see which will become the first brand to actually break the $100K barrier, and with a standard-duty model to boot.

2018 Chevrolet Corvette Grand Sport The First Look

Chevrolet Corvette

Here is the short review of 2018 Chevrolet Corvette Grand Sport, The Chevrolet Corvette Grand Sport occupies the slim real estate between the 455-hp Stingray and the supercharged, 650-hp Z06, combining elements of the two. The Stingray’s naturally aspirated 6.2-liter V-8 is surrounded by the Z06’s gnarly bodywork, flared fenders, meaty tires, and wide-track suspension. Think of the Grand Sport as basically equal to the track-ready Z06 in every way save for power. The combination is potent enough to earn it a spot on our 2017 10Best Cars list, and track rats can go nuts and buy a Z07 aerodynamics and handling package very similar to the one available on the Z06, complete with carbon-ceramic brakes, a deeper spoiler, a harder-core suspension tune, and ultragrippy Michelin Pilot Super Sport Cup 2 tires.

The new things of 2018 Chevrolet Corvette Grand Sport, Similar to its Stingray and Z06 siblings, the Grand Sport receives a multitude of minor updates for 2018. The backup camera boasts higher resolution, the head-up display can be adjusted over a wider range, and there are a few new interior and exterior color combinations. Headlining the Grand Sport’s transition into the new year is the limited-production Carbon 65 Edition package that’s also available on the Z06.

The Corvette reviewed here came so equipped, meaning it wore exclusive Ceramic Matrix Gray paint, featured Carbon 65 graphics on the fenders and doors, and had carbon fiber practically splattered all over it, including on the splitter, rocker-panel blades, spoiler, side mirrors, hood insert, rear fender ducts, wheel caps, and about half of the steering-wheel rim. These carbon-fiber items are all optional on regular Grand Sports, as are the package’s included Competition Sport seats. The net effect is eye-catching—our Carbon 65 coupe attracted endless attention.

The interior’s blue stitching (including quilting for the removable carbon-fiber roof panel’s microsuede-upholstered headliner), additional black microsuede accents, and carbon-fiber trim noticeably classed up the Corvette’s cabin. Whether that’s worth the package’s $15,000 cost (and this specific Carbon 65’s $99,230 sticker) is up to you.

Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 The Most Advanced Sports Coupes

The is an American automobile manufactured by Chevrolet, classified as a pony car and some versions also as a muscle car.It went on sale on September 29, 1966, for the 1967 model year and was designed as a competing model to the Ford Mustang. The car shared its platform and major components with the Pontiac Firebird, also introduced for 1967.

Four distinct generations of the Camaro were developed before production ended in 2002. The nameplate was revived on a concept car that evolved into the fifth-generation Camaro; production started on March 16, 2009.

On May 16, 2015, Chevrolet introduced the sixth generation Camaro at Belle Isle park in Detroit, Michigan. The launch, complete with previous generation Camaros on display, coincided with the vehicle's upcoming 50th birthday.

The sixth generation Camaro sales began in late 2015 and are offered in LT and SS models built on the GM Alpha platform at Lansing Grand River Assembly in Michigan. The Alpha platform is currently used by the Cadillac ATS and Cadillac CTS. The 2016 Camaro will weigh 200 lb (91 kg) less than its predecessor. Over 70% of the sixth generation's architectural components are unique to the car and are not shared with any other current GM product.

For the 2017 model year, the 1LE performance package returns to the Camaro. The package builds off the success of the previous-generation 1LE, offering increased handling and track performance. In response to customer demand, Chevrolet offers two distinct 1LE packages, for both V6 and V8 models, each visually distinguished with a satin black hood, specific wheels and more.

For the 2018 model year, Chevrolet introduced the ZL1 1LE package for the Camaro. The new package tested to be three seconds faster around General Motors' Milford Road Course than the next-fastest ZL1 Camaro. The ZL1 1LE performance package introduces improved aerodynamics, a new racing-inspired adjustable suspension, and new lightweight forged aluminum wheels with Goodyear Eagle F1 Supercar 3R tires created especially for the ZL1 1LE. Overall the new performance package reduces the car's weight by 60 lb (27 kg) over the ZL1. The ZL1 1LE shares the ZL1's supercharged 650 hp (480 kW) LT4 engine paired with a six-speed manual transmission with Active Rev Match.

Chevrolet Impala vs. Chevrolet Malibu: Which Chevy Sedan Is Right for You?

Chevrolet Impala

If you’re shopping for a sedan, you’ve probably taken a look at Chevrolet’s midsize Malibu and large Impala. These value-oriented models are well-rounded choices for buyers who prioritize practicality. The Malibu and Impala are most often cross-shopped against rivals in their respective classes. We provide you a few pictures of them as reverences for you to choose or decide to buy, but off course it's enough only to see through the pictures, you need to see those cars physically.

The reviews of these 2018 Chevy models reveal that they have more in common than not, and some of the categories on the following slides were a tough call.

Though both cars are priced competitively within their classes, the midsize Malibu comes in at a base price of $21,680, while the large Impala starts at $27,895. Potential buyers of both cars should consider skipping the base model and looking instead at the mid-range trim, which provides a good list of features for a modest upcharge.
